Our mission? To help small-business owners like you take control of their finances by creating systems and tracking tools, and teaching them and you how to use those tools to make better-informed money decisions.

President and CEO

David joins the On The Money team in its leadership role as an accomplished business professional and entrepreneur with twenty-five years of experience. He has held high-level positions in Accounting and Information Systems with Fortune 500 companies in many industries, ranging from healthcare to manufacturing to transportation. He takes over the ownership role of Ruth Urban, who has built an excellent team over the last 17 years. He is honored to be able to continue her legacy and strives to make her proud of the future of the company.

He has also been successful in developing small business startups as well as in acquiring and expanding existing businesses. He thrives on process improvements and efficiencies of operations to reduce costs, increase sales, and improve customer experiences. He is especially excited to be able to share his knowledge with the team to help our small business clients grow and become more successful.

Although he has focused on building businesses in recent years, he considers himself an accountant at heart. From an early age, he had an affinity for numbers and order. He took his first Accounting class in his sophomore year of high school and knew that is what he wanted to focus on. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Science in Business Accounting which has served him well in each and every business venture he has entered.

David is very well received and acknowledged as a patient, logical and fair individual. He is extremely understanding and empathic to everyone with whom he engages.

Steven is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper with a long career in executive management, consulting, and financial system management. Over the years he has developed business models for several startup ventures, and worked with small-business owners to create sound business plans.

Proficient in solving bookkeeping challenges, he’s helped numerous clients transfer their company financial data to new, more efficient platforms. Steve is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, with strong skills in both the online and desktop versions of QuickBooks.

As an experienced finance and accounting professional, Rebecca has provided consulting and business valuation services to a variety of organizations including CPA and legal firms, real estate investors, and both brick-and-mortar and online retail companies. She served as a financial analyst for a national foodservice company and worked as an internal auditor for a global reinsurance company. Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with majors in finance and computer applications.

First job:
McDonald’s. When I turned 14, I was eager to work. It was one of the few places that would hire 14-year-olds.

Nickname:
Rbi. After a recite-the-alphabet-backwards challenge, college friends decided my name was better without the letter E, shortening it to Rbi. My husband still uses it for my monogram which confuses anyone I’ve met since college.

Most proud of:
The relationship my three kids share. My middle son is autistic and it’s really neat how he brings them all together and how much they look out for him. I love our family dynamics.

Robyn Cohen

Highly detailed and principled, Robyn brings more than 20 years of experience in business management, budgeting and forecasting, and overhead analysis expertise. Her wide range of skill sets include implementing standards for financial procedures, preparing financial data for taxes, and generating cost savings, in addition to the more familiar accounting responsibilities. Robyn served as a financial analyst for Paramount Pictures and in a variety of management and financial roles for Fox Broadcasting Company. She assisted in the start up and developed processes for a non profit organization and has managed the finances for her own quick service restaurants. Robyn holds a master's degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

She excels in financial planning and analysis, as well as budget and forecast development and evaluation. For 17 years, Catherine served as an integral financial team member of a multibillion-dollar global provider of human capital and management consulting services. Additionally, she dedicated a decade as an accountant with a premier, architectural acoustics design and consulting firm in Chicago. Catherine continues to share her talents as a volunteer controller with an animal shelter and adoption center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois.

Beth has served as CEO of a large nonprofit organization in Pittsburgh providing services to members of the medical, dental, podiatric, optometric and veterinarian societies. Her key areas of expertise include strategic planning, financial reporting, and managerial accounting. She holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Fun fact:
I rode cross country in the summer of 2002 on my Harley Davidson Custom 1200 Sportster with two other women who were each on H-D Fatboys. We rode from Pittsburgh to California to cruise Pacific Coast Highway 1. It was a great adventure!

Any comedy. I’ll choose laughter over romance or drama. Give me Monty Python and the Holy Grail over The Notebook any day!

Best advice:
A co-worker once advised me to pick a section in the parking garage and always park there. Even if there is a prime parking space available elsewhere, do not park there because you will forget by the end of the day and spend 15 minutes looking for your car. I tested this theory once, and quickly determined it to be a particularly good piece of advice.

He has more than three decades of experience, most recently as a principal with Pacific Gas & Electric. In addition to the energy sector, Tim has worked for both government and private enterprise including in banking and document management. Highly responsive, Tim’s expertise includes revenue management, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in accounting from San Francisco State University.

Hidden talent:
Singing and playing the guitar. I belong to a Barbershop Quartet Chorus group and would love to become a professional-level guitar player.

Before even receiving her degree in accountancy, she was already working in accounting positions. Since graduation, she’s worked for a national tax preparation company and a respected CPA office. She remains actively involved in the Valley of the Sun Institute of Managerial Accountants, a professional association.

Most proud of:
Besides my kids, it’s that I went back to school at age 55 and graduated at 58 with honors and an accounting degree.

Ideal vacation:
Getting up every morning, walking the beach, and spending all day long enjoying the ocean.
